Tell us about yourself

What is the most important thing to know about you?
Paula Cummings| Accurate Electric, Plumbing, Heating and Air

That is a tough question. I guess I’ll have to say I feel blessed. I was born into a wonderful family. My upbringing has given me a positive attitude that helps me to try to look for the bright side when difficulties arise.

Tell me about your family, what do you all enjoy doing together?
I am a native Californian born in Whittier. My husband, David, was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. We met at a night club in Pasadena in June of 1981. We were married in July of 1983 so we will celebrate our 36th Anniversary this summer! We have 2 grown children, Erick and Kayla. We are campers. Vacations mean packing tents, bedding, food, everything including the kitchen sink. We upgraded our little aluminum fishing boat a several years ago to an 18 ft Crestliner which we take on our yearly trip to the picturesque Eastern Sierras. We also enjoy day trips to the beautiful and nearby Big Bear Lake.

What accomplishment are you most proud of in your life?
I am proud to be called friend. In the end what matters is not your education, your possessions, or your status, but those you love and those who love you. I have some great friends that I go way back with. Most of my little group met in middle school, but one of them has been my friend since I was 6 years old. I live for “girls” trips.

Now let’s talk about work…

How long have you worked with Accurate and what does your role entail?
I was welcomed to the Accurate team a year and 6 months ago. I was a bit nervous about finding a new job after working in the same place for over 20 years. Accurate is a family owned business that truly makes their employees feel like family. It is a great fit for me. I am one of our customer service representatives. My role is to greet our customers, find out how we can help them and set up an appointment with one of our technicians. In addition, I follow up with our customer to see if they have any new questions and to be sure they had a great experience when our technician was at their home.

What is the best part about working for Accurate?
I have to say again, it is all about the people. Let’s face it we often spend more time with the people we work with than with our friends and family. The best part about working for Accurate is not only the caring group of people who make up our staff but also our customers.

What words of wisdom or encouragement do you have for our customers?
I want our customers to know Accurate continually strives to provide superior service to you and your family. All companies train their new employees, but Accurate supports the team through weekly and monthly meeting and ongoing training where we are able to discuss ways to better serve you, our customers.

Tell us about yourself

What is the most important thing to know about you?

Ray Reynoso | Accurate Electric, Plumbing, Heating and Air

My friends tell me that I am a consistent person no mater who I am around, reliable and trustworthy. I don’t shy away from challenges and prefer them because of how they’ll grow me into a better person. Talking your ear off is not my specialty but people trust they’ll get honest and straight forward answers. I do everything to the best of my ability and give it 100% no matter how difficult the situation.

Tell me about your family, what do you all enjoy doing together?

Ray Reynoso | Accurate Electric, Plumbing, Heating and Air

I don’t have family of my own but with my immediate family we enjoy each other’s company no matter where we’re at. Our plans are very spontaneous besides planned travels to Mexico to visit my 10 aunts and uncles and 48 cousins! With my friends whom I consider family, we do a plethora of activities; darts, ping pong, line dancing (haven’t quite figured this one out yet), hanging out around a fire, camping surfing, hiking, desert trips, snowboarding, fishing, hunting, going to the beach. Mostly enjoying each other’s company and talking about what we can do in this one life we get.

What accomplishment are you most proud of in your life?
Learning how to enjoying reading after about 23 years of disliking it. I’ve read more books in the past two years than in my entire life! Also learning how to be patient, work as a team, coordinate many moving parts and co-workers to make sure things go smoothly. My new mission is to learn how to become one of the best leaders and continue that legacy with the people I work with.

Now let’s talk about work…

How long have you worked with Accurate and what does your role entail?

Ray Reynoso | Accurate Electric, Plumbing, Heating and Air

I have been with Accurate for 6.5 years. During my senior year of High school I was going to a trade school at night for electrical. Accurate was the only company out of hundreds that was willing to hire someone with no experience. I convinced Jeff that no experience was a good thing because that meant I had no bad habits! I was 18 at the time. I started from the ground as an apprentice for two years, learning and making sure I was better than the previous day. Since all I learned was how to do electrical with the best habits from the best electricians in the nation I made it my mission to perfect my work. That led to having a part in training new people that Accurate hired. I was part of an install only crew for a couple years where I learned most of my tricks on how to do electrical better (mostly from overcoming obstacles). Now with my own Accurate vehicle I take care of projects from start to finish. Design, planning, execution, and clean up. Hopefully in the future I can learn HVAC!!

What is the best part about working for Accurate?
Definitely the small business environment, it’s made known that we are all very much appreciated to work here. It’s nice to have friendships with everyone to where you actually would want to hang out with your coworkers, and actually knowing who the owner is and knowing he cares about us! Knowing integrity is a MUST at Accurate creates a peaceful atmosphere where you can trust everyone.

What words of wisdom or encouragement do you have for our customers?
Many of our clients have told me that they have wanted to do “That project/upgrade” for years and years but hiring someone was a bit intimidating to them. After seeing big smiles once their dream lighting design was done, or something as simple as moving an outlet so it’s not behind the dang couch, or making their home safer and more comfortable, I would encourage our customers to give us a shot. Let us paint you a picture of what your home could look like, and if there’s an issue, how we can get you back up and running or improve your situation to avoid it in the future. Your electrical plumbing or HVAC in your home shouldn’t be frustrating when your home is supposed to be your domain and place of comfort. We can help, and we’d be honored to have the ability to earn your trust and business!

First, we would like to get to know more about you . . .

What is the most important thing someone needs to know about you?

When I come into someone’s home because they are in need of something; I go in looking for their well-being, with the best of intentions.

San Dimas Local Electrician - Josi | Accurate

Tell me about your family, what do you all enjoy doing together?

I’ve been married to my wife for about 9 years now. We are high school sweethearts. We have three boys together, they are 8, 3, and 1 years old. We enjoy watching movies, playing in the backyard, and volunteering for different outreach charities that support building orphanages and distributing food to those in need.

Do you have a hidden talent?

I play the guitar at my church. I’ve been playing since I was about 14 years old.

What accomplishment are you most proud of in your life?

Arcadia Local Electrician - Josi | Accurate

The accomplishment I am most proud of is my children. I am proud as I see them grow and learn good values. My family and I are happy and blessed to own our own home.

Now let’s talk about work . . .

How long have you worked and what does your role entail?

I’ve worked at Accurate for about 3 years as a state-certified journeymen electrician. My job requires me to quote electrical jobs and then execute them by myself or with a team. However, above all this, my job is to provide 5-star service to my customers.

Why did you choose this trade?

I got into the electrical field in hopes of specializing in the solar branch of electrical. However, I ended up really liking the residential and commercial branches of electrical and in that process realized the solar industry wasn’t a good fit for me.

What is the best part about working for Accurate?

The best part of working for Accurate is that Accurate’s values align with my own. Accurate is looking to do the right thing by their customer in the electrical, plumbing, and HVAC industries. Accurate has always been about honesty, integrity, and great service. I can serve my customers with integrity and honesty while earning an honest buck.

What words of wisdom or encouragement do you have for our customers?

I encourage customers to be careful when letting any service professionals into their home. Sometimes very cheap prices mean cheap quality and poor workmanship. I share this because I’ve been into countless homes where I have had to re-do the work that the customer has previously paid for. Very often when you pay cheap, you pay twice.

Tell us about yourself

What is the most important thing to know about you?
I want everyone I meet and work with to know that I am grateful for the opportunity to provide them service. I take the trust that’s been given to me very seriously and consider it a blessing. I am more concerned about their complete satisfaction with my great service than over their money.

Tell us about your family, what do you all enjoy doing together?

Eric Smith | Accurate Electric, Plumbing, Heating and Air

I am married to a beautiful, talented woman who is a great role model for not only me but our children. We’ve been married for 11 years and lived together in two states. We have three beautiful children who are all very special in their own unique ways. We have a 10-year-old, 7-year-old, and 11 months old.  We enjoy eating together, playing together and going on adventures outside. Basically, we like to get muddy every now and then.

Do you have a hidden talent?
Not many people know that I am double-jointed in most my toes which makes them look weird. It grosses my kids out when I move them around like little earthworms.

What accomplishment are you most proud of in your life?
One of my greatest accomplishments in life was having the opportunity and ability to pay for my wife and younger sister to go to college. This accomplishment could not have been achieved without a great employer, faithful wife, and amazing support group. I am very proud of the hard work my wife put into pursuing and finishing her degree, and I am equally proud of myself for giving her the opportunity to do it debt-free.

Now let’s talk about work…

How long have you worked for Accurate and what does your role entail?
Eric Smith | Accurate Electric, Plumbing, Heating and Air

I have been a part of the Accurate family for over eight years. I am currently the Service Manager and HVAC Comfort Specialist. My role in the company is being a mentor to apprentices, a soundboard for the journeyman, and a manager. Working with my teammates, I am able to help build processes that help our company provide greater levels of service to our clients. I hire and train technicians as they come into our company in both the electrical and HVAC departments.

Why did you choose the electrical trade?
Twelve years ago I was approached by a friend to join his company doing electrical service work and I jumped at the opportunity. Performing the work is fun and challenging in and of itself, but the thing that really makes me love my job is the constant interaction with multiple clients each day. Getting to meet and help new people makes me happy to go to work every morning.

What is the best part about working for Accurate?
We have an amazing culture at Accurate. It is obvious to our clients when they see us work together. Even though not every day is all peaches and cream, the community I have with the people I work with makes celebrating the highs and managing the lows a bit easier. Our team genuinely has a great time together inside and outside of work.

What words of wisdom or encouragement do you have for our customers?
I want our clients to know that we are an amazing company with the highest standards in hiring and the work we perform. We stand behind our work with a lifetime warranty. Their work is being done by the best technicians in the industry, people who truly love to do what they do. Our clients get the best of both worlds when they choose us.

Customer Reviews

Accurate Electric, Plumbing, Heating and Air 5-Star Review

“Eric the Field Supervisor and Marshal (HVAC specialist) arrived in the company truck, on time and prepared. Both are obviously very knowledgeable but not once did we feel any type of sales pitch pressure. They took their time, were very thorough in their questions and showed great patience answering all of our inquiries. Before they left, Eric had already prepared the quotes on his smart tablet and had emailed them to me. I chose Accurate not only because their quote was the most competitive but because of that first great impression I had when I met Eric and Marshal.” — Yelp Customer

Accurate Electric, Plumbing, Heating and Air 5-Star Review

“The office told Eric that we really needed help so he got out here in short order as we had JUST called in. Eric arrived and very quickly handled the dangerous exposed wires. He was very professional & friendly and presented us with a plan so that our system could work properly. My experience was VERY good and would not hesitate to recommend this company again. Thank you!!!” — Yelp Member

Tell us about yourself

What is the most important thing to know about you?
I’m a Christian and my faith and my family come first in my life. That’s the same mentality with which I guide the company. I try to treat people like I think Christ would. I treat our Accurate team like family.

Tell me about your family, what do you all enjoy doing together?

Jeff and Leann Seale | Accurate Electric, Plumbing, Heating and Air

I married my high school sweetheart in 1991. We have 4 awesome sons who bring us unique joys and challenges nearly every day. Our (my) favorite thing to do is deep sea fish. That can be for 1/2 day trips or up to 2.5-day trips. Getting out on a boat away from the busyness of life to just hang out with each other is so fun. The thrill of pulling in a big tuna is incomparable.

What are your hobbies?
Accurate keeps me pretty busy, but I like to get involved in whatever my boys are doing. If one of them has to read a book for a project, I’ll read it too. If one of them gets a new skateboard, we all get skateboards. If they are questioning how we came to be, I research it with them.

What accomplishment are you most proud of in your life?
I used to be a guy who would take everything on by myself, not asking for help or relying on anyone else. I’ve been able to let that go and I’ve surrounded myself with people who are much better than me. Together we are accomplishing great things. Also, I can’t take the credit, but having a long-lasting, loving marriage for so many years has to rank up there too!

Any other interesting things we/our customers might like to know?
I once went “code blue.” I stopped breathing after a surgery and had to be resuscitated. I scared my wife nearly to death. Not everyone gets to do that!

Now let’s talk about work…

Why did you start Accurate and what does your role entail?
I started Accurate because time and time again in my trade I ran across customers who were unhappy and had been treated unfairly. I thought there was a void in the contracting trades for an honest and integrity-focused company that would treat every client as if they were your grandparents. Who doesn’t love their grandparents? I know I do, and I go out of my way to do everything for them in the best possible manner. That’s our goal for every client. My role in the company is just steering the ship. Everyone else on the team does the real work.

Seale Family | Accurate Electric, Plumbing, Heating and Air

Why did you choose this career?
Honestly, I wanted to earn a good living as quickly as possible so I could marry my wife. I didn’t want to get married before I could support her and our future family. What started as a short-term goal became a labor of love.

What is the best part about working for Accurate?
There are lots of things. Getting to have my boys work alongside me is the most rewarding. My oldest is helping me guide the company now and every one of them works in the company in some capacity. I like being the one that started a workplace that has brought an absolutely awesome team of people together to help out our clients. Lastly, I really enjoy reading all of our reviews. That allows me to get a glimpse into how my team is treating our clients like their own grandparents.

What words of wisdom or encouragement do you have for our customers?
Nobody wants to deal with the issues that arise with their electrical, plumbing, heating, or air conditioning. But when you have to, let us help you out… you won’t go wrong. I think our Accurate Promise summarizes it best, “If you aren’t absolutely satisfied with your service, we’ll make it right or you don’t pay… simple as that!”

Tell us about yourself

What is the most important thing to know about you?
I like people! I’m what you call an extrovert on steroids. I love to laugh and enjoy a good meal with friends…that’s my happy place. I also like solving problems. The creativity and critical
thinking in figuring out a new way to “fix” something is also a strong contender. These are the reasons I love my job at Accurate. Helping our customers and in the end, making a new friend is what makes coming to work a true pleasure.

Tell me about your family, what do you all enjoy doing together?

Cheri Fortner | Accurate Electric, Plumbing, Heating and Air

My husband, Kerry and I, have 3 children. We enjoy cooking together and spending time outdoors. Yosemite has been one of our family’s favorite places to visit for years. We have backpacked, camped, hiked, and fed a lot of park rangers homemade ice cream over the years

What are your hobbies?
I love to travel and explore new places. It doesn’t matter if it’s an hour away or on another continent… seeing and experiencing life in other places is truly fascinating to me. I also love to practice Yoga. I’m not a granola girl, but I will say it makes me feel really good and it’s a great way to de-stress.

What accomplishment are you most proud of in your life?
That’s a great question. I rode my bike from LA to Yosemite when I was in high school. I have also jumped out of a perfectly good airplane, more than once. But raising my three children has been the most challenging and rewarding thing I have ever done. I am a very proud mama!

Any other interesting things we/our customers might like to know?
I have been teased for years for having a brown thumb, possibly even black when it comes to gardening. Our Field Supervisor, Mike and his wife Amy, taught me their ways and I am finally sharing my bumper crop with my neighbors and friends.

Now let’s talk about work…

How long have you worked with Accurate and what does your role entail?

Cheri Fortner | Accurate Electric, Plumbing, Heating and Air

I have been a part of the Accurate family for 6 years. I am currently the Office Manager and Dispatcher. As the Office Manager, I have the privilege of mentoring out office staff to provide courteous exceptional service and to work with our management team as we build a company that will take care of all our client’s home repair needs with integrity and professionalism.

Why did you choose this career?
It sort of found me. I found Accurate through a friend of mine. She grew up with Jeff and Leann and knew it would be a good fit. I enjoy every day working with our clients, giving them great service, and building long-term relationships with them.

What is the best part about working for Accurate?
It’s definitely our company culture. We are one big family. We work hard and play even harder. Working side by side with your friends is priceless.

What words of wisdom or encouragement do you have for our customers?
I want our customers to know what an exceptional group of technicians I work with. I am proud and confident as I send them out to meet our clients. I know they will do their best to be friendly, honest, and fair. Each of them is the best of the best in their field.

First, we would like to get to know more about you . . .

What is the most important thing someone needs to know about you?

I believe the most important thing about an individual is his or her morals. This can be a very complicated topic. I find that the “golden rule” does a good job of simplifying it though. When it comes to my customers, I put myself in their shoes so that I can relate to their situation and take care of their needs. I know that they are in a tuff spot by the time that I arrive. They are working on anything from a big home improvement project to dealing with a partial electrical outage. It is my job to treat them with the same level of service as I would expect… and I have some pretty high standards.

Azuza Local Electrician - Mike | Accurate

Tell me about your family, what do you all enjoy doing together?

I have a beautiful young family. My wife Amy and I share two boys and a girl. We love to do just about anything outdoors, but I think that hiking is our favorite.

What are your hobbies?

When I have some time to myself I find that I usually end up in the garage. I’ll grab a wrench and fix a bathroom faucet or I’ll put together some scrap wood and build some art. I thrive on productivity and enjoy the outdoors so camping and everything that goes along with that is right up my alley.

Do you have a hidden talent?

I consider my critical thinking skills to be hidden in plain sight. Purposely changing perspectives gives me an advantage in problem-solving and helps keep my mind sharp.

What accomplishment are you most proud of in your life?

San Dimas Local Electrician - Mike | Accurate

I’m certainly most proud of my wife and the kids that we’ve been blessed with. Finding Accurate is right up there too. I’ve been with Accurate for almost 8 years now and I know that I’m a better person because of it. Jeff and Eric are two amazing men that have helped me more than they’ll ever know.

Is there anything else you want to share about yourself?

People usually find it interesting that I’m a beekeeper and love working in the garden.

Now let’s talk about work . . .

How long have you worked and what does your role entail?

This is my eighth year with Accurate.  As the field supervisor, I must rise to the highest levels of integrity and reliability. My day to day application of management skills provides me many opportunities to grow the strengths of our entire team. I play a leading role in ensuring the delivery of top quality service.  This is our promise, and it is something our customers should expect.

Why did you choose this trade?

I was genuinely interested from a very young age in the way things worked. Taking apart old TV sets and cassette players was fun to me. Most of the things that I took apart were electronic, so that’s where my attention was placed. It was a self-taught skill that came pretty easy so as I grew, I continued to nurture the interest. I ultimately chose this trade for those reasons, but also because I enjoy working with people. Our customers give me the opportunity to problem solve and provide great solutions. From these opportunities grow great relationships.

What is the best part about working for Accurate?

The relationships between team members are way out in front of any other work environment that I’ve been a part of. We care about one another, and that is clear when we’re working side by side with our friends.

What words of wisdom or encouragement do you have for our customers?

At Accurate, we treat you like family. We are a tight group of an honest and hard-working ethic.

Do you have a number one electrical or HVAC tip for our customers?

Most people lose sight of the idea of maintenance when it comes to their utility systems. If we keep up with our systems, they will keep up with us.
