Tell us about yourself
What is the most important thing to know about you?
I am really driven by passion. I spend a lot of my time, sometimes too much, on the things that I’m most excited and passionate about. Fortunately, most of those center around my family and my job, so I get to enjoy my favorite things every day.
Tell me about your family, what do you all enjoy doing together?
I am engaged to a hilarious, talented, bundle of joy named Kayla. We met at Forest Home, a Christian camp that we both worked at. Together we have a dog named Jack who we love very much. Kayla and I love to travel and have been all over the world together but we have a lot more that we still want to see. We also enjoy going to the movies and taking trips to Disneyland.
What accomplishment are you most proud of in your life?
I am really proud of graduating college with magna cum laude honors and an award for being one of the top students in the School of Business at Azusa Pacific University. Still, I think my greatest achievement was tricking Kayla into believing I was at a conference while I secretly flew out to the University of Alabama, where she went to college, and proposed to her along the River Walk during what she thought was an evening out with her roommate. Somehow it all came together and she was completely surprised and that was one of my favorite days ever.
Now let’s talk about work…
How long have you worked with Accurate and what does your role entail?
I started working at Accurate when I was 15, shadowing some of our journeymen electricians and helping them with jobs during my summer breaks throughout high school. When I graduated, I went to school for Business Management and took on more of an administrative assistant role to my dad, Jeff. After graduating college I joined the team full time and have since become our Integrator, meaning I take the vision that my dad has for the company and work to make it a reality. This mainly involves handling a lot of the day-to-day operations, from meetings and networking to accounting and human resources.
What is the best part about working for Accurate?
I wanted to work somewhere that my job felt meaningful. Having been involved with Accurate for so long, our team has really become like a family to me. The mentality here isn’t centered around making money, but around building a strong team that supports one another and wants the company to succeed for the good of others, not just themselves. I love working here because I know that what I do is directly for the benefit of my Accurate family.
What words of wisdom or encouragement do you have for our customers?
Every Wednesday morning, bright and early, we have a training meeting with our team. We share success and opportunity stories and go over trade-specific trainings, but spend the majority of our time going through a video series called “C1” which stands for “Customers 1st.” Even though our service leads the industry, we’re always working to get even better and I think that’s pretty encouraging!
