Accurate’s Homemade Eggnog

Accurate's Homemade Eggnog | Accurate Electric, Plumbing, Heating and Air


4 cups Milk
5 whole Cloves
2 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
12 Egg Yolks
1 1/2 cups Sugar
2 1/2 cups Light Rum (or to your liking)
4 cups Light Cream
1/2 tsp Ground Nutmeg


  1. On a low setting, heat the milk, cloves, cinnamon, and 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract in a saucepan for 5 minutes. Next, combine the egg yolks and sugar in a large bowl, whisking until fluffy. Take the warm milk mixture and slowly combine with eggs, gently mixing together.
  2. Next, cook the combined mixture over medium heat. Stir the mixture constantly for 3 minutes or until the consistency has become thick, but do not let the mixture come to a boil. Remove the cloves with a strainer and set the mixture aside to cool for about an hour.
  3. Once cooled, add the rum, cream, nutmeg, and remaining vanilla extract. Stir and place in the refrigerator overnight before serving. Lastly… enjoy your delicious eggnog with loved ones!
